Rhinoplasty #240
Our beautiful 30-year-old patient is seen 12 months after both functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery. She had a congenital weakness of her external nasal valves preoperatively such that her nostrils would slam shut with inspiration. This was also associated with inferior turbinate enlargement. Her cosmetic issues included her bulbous droopy tip and her dorsal hump. She specifically requested a straight nasal profile without a curve. Her external nasal valves were repaired with bilateral lateral crural extension grafts that were carved from her septal cartilage. One year after surgery, you can see an unoperated nasal appearance, a straight nasal profile appearance with repair of her hanging columella, and a completely unoperated and natural nasal appearance. And she breathes better than ever!
