Rhinoplasty Before & After: Correcting Cosmetic And Functional Issues

Featured Patient

These before and after photos are an excellent demonstration of both functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery in our beautiful patient who has thin nasal skin. Her nasal obstruction was caused by internal nasal valve collapse, external nasal valve collapse, a deviated nasal septum to the right, and bilateral turbinate enlargement. She was also dissatisfied with the appearance of her nose. You can see that she had a bulbous droopy tip and a sizable profile hump. Her functional repair included septoplasty, bilateral spreader grafts, and bilateral lateral crural strut grafts. We also narrowed and rotated her nasal tip and took down her nasal hump. Additionally, you can see that the freckle at the base of her nose is permanently gone. We removed this with light electrocautery at the end of her rhinoplasty surgery. She is one year after surgery and we are all thrilled with her final result.

Patient Review:

“Dr Eric is amazing!!! Hi staff is so kind and accommodating and he is an exceptional surgeon! I had an aggressive turbinate removal and rhinoplasty and could not be happier with my results. My nose is now functional and beautiful! This was my second nose surgery (for breathing purposes) and wanted to get a rhinoplasty with it. He was the 5th doctor i saw for the procedure and I am so thankful for him! My recovery was easy and my result is amazing!!”

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Deviated Septum Correction and Refined Nasal Appearance

Rhinoplasty #272

A 44-year-old gentleman is seen well over one year following both functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery. Preoperatively, he did not like that his nose projected too far in profile, and he was unhappy with his profile bump. Additionally, he experienced nasal obstruction on both sides due to a severely deviated nasal septum and congenital weakness of both his internal and external nasal valves. In his 14-month postoperative photos, you can see a less projected nasal profile that blends naturally and maintains a masculine appearance, without signs of previous rhinoplasty surgery. His functional repair required septoplasty, lateral crural strut grafts, and bilateral spreader grafts. We are so grateful that he has allowed us to share his photographs, and his nasal airway is now breathing perfectly.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Correct a Prominent Dorsal Hump and a Droopy Tip

Rhinoplasty #271

We are grateful that our wonderful 28-year-old patient allowed us to share her results one year after rhinoplasty. She was primarily concerned about her profile, which had a prominent dorsal hump and a droopy tip. One year post-surgery, you can see a more balanced, refined, and naturally feminine nasal appearance.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Wide Nasal Appearance Correction

Rhinoplasty #270

Our beautiful 28-year-old patient is seen six and a half months following rhinoplasty surgery at our practice. She was dissatisfied with the wide appearance of her nose, which was associated with a droopy tip and a dorsal hump. As seen here, we achieved a natural-looking nasal appearance through tip rotation, tip narrowing, nostril narrowing, nasal narrowing, and hump removal, resulting in a less distracting and more feminine profile. Her alarplasty scars are well-concealed and limited to the base of her nose.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Corrected Overprojected Nasal Profile, Dorsal Hump, and Bulbous, Droopy Tip

Rhinoplasty #269

This beautiful patient presented to our office with severe dissatisfaction with her nasal appearance. She was unhappy with her overprojected nasal profile, dorsal hump, and bulbous, droopy tip. Her after photos were taken 6 months following her rhinoplasty surgery. The goals of rhinoplasty surgery are to help a person's nose blend in naturally, not to turn it into the centerpiece of the face. We can now see a more feminine and less distracting nasal appearance, without any stigmata of previous nasal surgery. We are extremely grateful that she has allowed us to share her photos.
