Rhinoplasty Before & After: Deprojected Nasal Profile Appearance

Rhinoplasty #192

Our 31 year old beautiful patient is seen 1 year after rhinoplasty surgery performed by us. Her main issue was her over-projected nasal profile appearance, and chronic nasal obstruction. Her nasal obstruction was due to a deviated nasal septum, and congenital narrowing of both internal nasal valves. Her profile was deprojected, and spreader grafts were placed on both sides. This has led to a less distracting nasal appearance that breathes better.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Bridge Narrowing and Tip Lift

Rhinoplasty #191

Our 19 year old patient is 11 months following rhinoplasty surgery in our practice. Goals of surgery were narrowing of her bridge, tip and nostrils, along with profile deprojection, and tip-lift. Her surgery required a right spreader graft to enlarge her right internal nasal valve, and an extended shield graft to get maximum refinement of her nasal tip appearance. Tip grafts may be helpful for achieving tip narrowing and support in those with thicker skin types.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Nasal Reduction for Smaller Profile Appearance

Rhinoplasty #190

Our 22 year old patient is seen 5 YEARS after rhinoplasty surgery in our practice. Our patient was mostly bothered by her profile - she felt her nose protruded too far. You can see natural looking nasal reduction surgery for a less distracting nasal appearance.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Deviated Septum Repair and Turbinate Reduction with Chin Implant

Rhinoplasty #189

These photos were taken 9 months following chin implant surgery, and rhinoplasty surgery in our beautiful 28 year old patient. This is a good example of the balance between your nose and chin on profile. When someone's nose is too large, this appearance may be worsened by a weak chin appearance. The combination of these two procedures may provide an exponential benefit for those who might be of benefit. Her nasal surgery was both functional and cosmetic. You can see hump reduction and tip lifting. She also had correction of a severely deviated nasal septum, along with turbinate reduction and a left spreader graft - all to improve her nasal breathing.

Rhinoplasty Before & After: Deviated Septum Correction

Rhinoplasty #188

Our beautiful 24 year old patient is seen three months following functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery. She had a severely deviated nasal septum corrected, and spreader grafts placed on both sides to improve her breathing. You can see a natural looking, and less distracting nasal appearance that breathes better.

If you're considering nasal surgery, computer imaging may help to establish realistic expectations: If your surgeon feels comfortable offering cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty surgery, computer imaging may be offered to let you visualize what to expect after surgery. Computer imaging is "underdone" to demonstrate a modest improvement, and we then see if you would be satisfied with the simulated improvements. If you don't like your computer imaged result, it may be best to defer surgery.
